The Regent of Banjar Regency KH.Khalilurrahman convey the Regional Design Regulations (RAPERDA) on two amendments to the Banjar District Regulation No. 2 of 2012 on the Implementation of Population Administration and Waste Management, in the plenary hall of Parliament Lt 2 Banjar, Monday (4/4).
Chairman of the Parliament of Banjar Regency HM Rusli lead the plenary meeting that attended by the members of parliament, Forkompinda and elements as well as the heads of SKPD scope Banjar Regency Government.
In his delivery, Banjar Regent said, the plenary session is one of a series the process of preparing two Regional drafts Regulation No. 2 of 2012 on the Implementation of Population Administration and Waste Management.
The draft Regional Regulation on Waste Management discussed to follow Minister Regulation No. 33 Year 2010 on Guidelines for Waste Management which states that waste management is set out in local regulations.
The garbage problem in Banjar Regency is quite complex. Lots of garbage that generated every day and thrown out of place. As a result the garbage piled along the Martapura river.
Also the low public awareness of waste management as well as the breadth of the Banjar Regency makes waste management as something that needs attention and immediate management of local government.
“As for Amendment of Banjar Regency Regulation No. 2 of 2012 on the Implementation of the Population Administration for their changes to the rules set out in Law No. 24 Year 2013 on the Amendment of Law No. 23 Year 2006 concerning Population Administration,” he said.
