Documenting all business sectors as a whole (in addition to the agricultural sector) will be able to produce a complete picture of the level and structure of the non-farm economy. They will also be known to the competitiveness of businesses in Indonesia, as well as the provision of business information needs.
Implementation of the Economic Census was conducted from May 1, 2016 to May 31, 2016. Beginning with the Indonesian President Joko Widodo census, the census officers then proceeded to assess the regional head held simultaneously throughout Indonesia on May 1, 2016.
As performed by officers of the Economic Census Banjar Regency, since eight in the morning, Sunday (1/5), the census officers, accompanied by the Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Banjar Edy Rahmadi visited the official residence of the Regent of Banjar H Khalilurrahman to friendship and conduct the Census Economy to number one on Bumi Serambi Mekkah.
When asked about what the business owned by Regent Banjar, H Khalilurrahaman revealed he had no other business outside of his position as Regent Banjar. But he is still receiving pension lard as a Member of Parliament and as a civil servant. “I do not have any business, Alhamdulillah my income is more than enough, starting from before he became Regent and until now,” he said.
He added that he still has borne one child and daughter who come to stay with him. “Children and my son come live with me, my son used to have private business. But now, I’ve served as a fitting Regent of Banjar, I asked my son to help accompany and relieve my tasks, so for a while I focus in-law to help me, “said Regent.
Regent appealed to the public to cooperate with census officials to provide data that is valid and accurate. “The census is conducted to determine the extent of the economic improvement of our area, whether there is an increase, decrease or even occur. With this census will be known what the business potential that could be developed in the area. Let us together join the success of the Economic Census 2016, “asked the regent.
After completing the census, the census takers give stickers as proof under the Regent Banjar has information and data and its business. The sticker directly mounted Regent Banjar in front of his house door.
Meanwhile Edy Rahmadi explained, the Economic Census is conducted every 10 years outside the agricultural business census to determine the economic characteristics of the region and nationally. “Census officer will come to the place of business, please do not hesitate or be afraid to give information to the census effort. The information provided by businesses is essential for development in our region, especially in the economic field, “said Edy.
