Implementation of MTQ 40th Regency Level Banjar in Simpang Empat was officially opened by the Regent of Banjar H Khalilurrahman accompanied by wife and Vice Regent Banjar H Saidi Mansyur along with wife, Secretary Banjar H Nasrunsyah and other Government officials, Friday (27/5).
The opening begins with a Kafilah parade followed the MTQ participants as many as 610 people from 20 Sub-Districts in Banjar Regency. Then the swearing-in of the board of judges and juries MTQ by Banjar Regent.
The event which consist of 21 branch competitions was started by Beduk beating by the Regent that was accompanied by Vice Regent and other officials were greeted by the guests and participants of MTQ.
In his speech, the Regent of Banjar congratulate to the Kafilah. He expects this year MTQ should not be used as an opportunity to win or lose, but rather to bring the benefits and interests in an attempt to actualize the teachings of Islam in peace in our region, Banjar.
“MTQ is not just a race for achievements alone, but must be a means to prove the values of the Al-Qur’an as a basis and encouragement for us to live our daily lives. So MTQ not just in terms of sheer accomplishment, “the message.
H Khalilurrahman asserted, by the convening of the MTQ from 27th until May 30th 2016, the community is expected to be more motivated leaned to the Al-Qur’an. The Al-Qur’an does not just read, memorize, but also most importantly practiced in everyday life.
Banjar Regent also hoped through this MTQ will show participants the results of competitive selection of the best quality that is capable of being Banjar toward higher event MTQ both the provincial and national level.
The chairman LPTQ of Banjar Regency H Saidi Mansur said, MTQ as not only an affirmation of the greatness of Islam, but also to become a barometer to measure the results or outcomes of learning activities which took place in the community through Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran (TPQ) and Taman Pendidikan Seni Budaya (TPSQ) spread in Banjar Regency.
