Muhammadiyah Student Association (IPM) held a Regional Leadership Conference (KONPIDA) at the Balai Pemuda Hall Martapura Saturday morning (23/01).
Muhammadiyah Student Association is an autonomous organization of Muhammadiyah among students based on Islam, preaching commanding the good of amar ma’ruf nnahhi munkar among students, Aqidah Islam (faith) and rooted in the Al-Qur’an and Sunnah. The formation of Muslim students who have knowledge, morality, and skilled in order to enforce and uphold the moral values of Islam, so the Muslim community realized the truth.
The event with the theme “Muhammadiyah Student Resource Mobilization for Sustainable Development” was opened by the Acting Regent of Banjar Regency H Rachmadi Kurdi, represented by the Secretary of the Department of Education Banjar Regency Rachmat Dani.
Rachmat Dani said, on behalf of the Government of Banjar Regency welcomed the implementation of the Regional Leadership Conference of Muhammadiyah Student Association of South Kalimantan, with the theme “Muhammadiyah Student Mobilization Resources for Sustainable Development”.
“I am pleased and proud particularly in view of Muhammadiyah Students Association especially in South Kalimantan Province that is an organization of young generation in which there are the figures of creative students who have the knowledge and skills to participate intelligently promote development in our region,” he said.
Nowadays, era of globalization has many problems of negative character of the younger generation like drug abuse, fights and other criminal acts.
“I hope through this organization, Muhammadiyah Student Association (IPM) as a forum for young learners can continue to contribute and participate to the various youth programs. I believe IPM South Kalimantan could carry it out.
