Polres Banjar with relevant agencies held a Degree Roll Call Forces Flood Disaster in Banjar Police Station on Wednesday morning (20/01). This is done in order to improve preparedness in the face of the possibility of the occurrence of natural disasters in the Banjar Regency, especially floods.

H. Rachmadi Kurdi, the Acting Banjar Regent as the masters of the roll call expressed thanks and highly appreciation to all participants. “Your presences shown the commitment and high preparedness of attentions,” he said. This attention is needed in the face of possible disasters that could come at any time.
We certainly realize that a disaster is an event that cannot be predicted in advance. “It came suddenly and destructive such as floods, fires, tornado’s and etc.” he said.

Banjar Regency is one of the areas that have a high vulnerability to floods. Based on data BPBD’s of Banjar Regency, during the rainy season in 2015, the flood-hit districts such as Martapura Kota, Astambul, Mataraman, Sungai Tabuk, Sambung Makmur, Sungai Pinang, Karang Intan, and Pengaron.

“Faced the possibility of floods, should not make us afraid or worried, but we should always more be aware and alert to anticipate. Also always improve the ability of disaster mitigation in order to minimize the number of victims if disaster strikes,” H. Rachmadi Kurdi advised.

At the end of his speech H. Rachmadi Kurdi expressed thanks and appreciation to all parties, Polres Banjar and staff, Kodim 1006 / Martapura, Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Banjar Regency and members of the Inter-Community Radio Indonesia (RAPI) of Banjar Regency, PMI, BPK, volunteers, and entire people of Banjar Regency that have participated in disaster management in Banjar regency.(pus/sep/boma/200116)
