Banjar Regency government programs for planting hundreds of trees that consists of several types of plants along the Irrigation Line of Sungai Pering to become a garden named Taman Swadaya, Thursday (21/1).
“We have programmed the planting of hundreds of trees, Beringin (Ficus Benjamina), Angsana (Pterocarpus indicus), Jabon (Neolamarckia cadamba), Ketapang (Terminalia catappa), Bamboo (Melocanna bambusoides) and Trembesi (Samanea Saman (Rain Tree)) and other types of plants to be planted along the Sungai Pering irrigation channels, especially in the area along the irrigation channels along the river.” said the Secretary of Banjar Regency H Nasrunsyah.
He explained, related to the garden that has been made by the Government of Banjar Regency is Taman Asmara that located along the Sungai Pering Irrigation well.
“Taman Asmara has been created along the Sungai Pering irrigation alongside Islamic Center. While we are planting here (the opposite) the Taman Swadaya. This is done for the preservation of the ecosystem along the Line Irrigation in Banjar Regency is maintained, ” he said.
Nasrunsyah said for earlier this year, will focus on planting hundreds of trees along the Sungai Pering irrigation channels, after which it will resume planting other tree seedlings to other areas in Banjar regency.
“We will always efforts to preserve ecosystems along the Sungai Pering irrigation channels, especially in Banjar Regency.” he said.
In addition, the program will be undertaken by the government, including environmental care program, it is expected the destruction of nature that exist in the Banjar Regency and the surrounding environment can be overcome and do prevention to make a beautiful and comfortable environment.
“When prevention efforts are not started, it is very ironic when our children and grandchildren will not be able to see the natural beauty that exists today,” he said. (Tohal / reza/Boma)
