H. Muhammad Arsyad was formally sworn in as Chairman of PGRI of Banjar Regency as XXI Period with service period of 2016 – 2020 by the Chairman of the Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI) South Kalimantan Province H. Muhammad Hatta Hs, Wednesday (25/2) in the Hall of Barakat Martapura.
The Inaugural of Chairman and Board of PGRI XXI Banjar Regency Period 2016 -2020, was attended by the Regent of Banjar Regency KH Khalilurrahman, Chairman of House of the Representatives of Banjar Regency H Muhammad Rusli, Secretary of Education of Banjar Regency Rakhmat Dhany and all twigs and branches of PGRI in Banjar Regency.
Banjar Regent KH Khalilurrahman in his speech said, PGRI as a professional organization of teachers that never stop in improved professionalism that aims to raise the dignity of teachers, as well as to promote education in Banjar Regency. We will continue to work hard, strengthen the spirit of building a better and unify measures to Banjar Regency development of more advanced in the field of education.
Khalilurrahman revealed the teacher is a profession who’s the character positions differ from other jobs. I extend my appreciation to the teachers throughout to Banjar Regency who have served wholeheartedly and prepare our children for the future. This is because the empirical facts that show the smart kid in school is not necessarily smart also in developing the business and seeking employment.
“To that end, the task of the teacher should be built advantages possessed personally by the students who will be relied on in the life of society,” he said.
He also hoped that PGRI always solid in their duty to educate the nation’s children. PGRI should be able to be part of the reform of education because the education should be able to create a generation of capable competent. PGRI also expected to respond to the problems faced by teacher’s problem, nowadays the problems of teachers in recent years has become an interesting theme for discussion. (Sadi/Boma)
